Fits well with 'forces' and 'gravity' Science Puzzles A range of puzzles and simulations aimed at year 6+. Build Your Own Village Simply add buildings to the scene to create a village. Duck Builder - This is available on the KS2 computers. Change the variables such as leg length or wing length and then see if the duck will fly. Driving Simulator Children control the car to drive from one position to another. Balloon Race Looking at forces or investigating why hot air rises, this activity involves the children controlling a balloon to reach the end of a course. BBC Viking Quest This simulation involves choices such as where to setup camp, which route to take and which crew to have on-board. Fits with the History topic. Stop Disasters There are many aspects to this simulation. Scenarios include floods or earthquakes with the aim being to prepare the village before the disaster strikes. This can include monitoring devices as well as upgrading the housing and providing evacuation systems. Can fit with Geography and even some aspects of R.E. |
